8.13.01  ::  Writer / Director Kevin Smith and The FilmDiva Seen Hugging In Legendary Austin Blues Bar!—Real life magical realism strikes as the FilmDiva stands in Q & A line for a chat with Silent Bob, himself.

To her astonishment, invitations for the Antoine's soiree appeared right before her eyes. So what's a girl to do? Get thee to the party!

Newsaskew reminds you to STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS when you see the flick, JSBSB.

Although, the Austin premiere was officially regional, it was also was the first screening in its final cut with credits.

Hollywood's Most Famous Blondes

True, the FilmDiva is a natural blonde, but she tends to go her own way from time to time. To quote "Auntie Mame", her favorite eccentric aunt movie,

"maybe I'll go back to one of these colors on day!"

But today, she wishes you to checkout, "Beyond the Pale: A look at our favorite Hollywood blondes, past and present" and then see their gallery of beautiful silver and gold. It shows the old style and compares with the new.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch

river oaks theatre, houston

08.06.01  ::  Yes! Yes! Yes! as Sally Albright would say, the FilmDiva actually left her tony digs and trotted down to the big H to see Hedwig.

The FilmDiva cannot wait to see this movie. John Cameron Mitchell, who wrote and directed, stars as Hedwig. Yes, this is the same JCM who starred as Dickon in the musical of 'The Secret Garden'. The FilmDiva also confessed she has adored him since back then—"he's got a gorgeous voice!".  When she chanced upon the trailer at 'The Anniversary Party' about 3 weeks ago, she quite literally squealed in her seat and almost dropped her popcorn!

minutia—John Cameron Mitchell was born in El Paso (an army brat!), but left when he was young.
